Instructional Technologist

Wow! It is finally happening. This blog was started on May 11, 2008 but was put on hold until the busy end of year events were completed. My greatest challenge will be reserving the time to post to the blog. Once developed I look forward to as sharing educational technology tools, lessons, and management strategies with Educators around the world.

As the Instructional Technology Specialist at Westford Academy, I introduced blogging to a few classes. Students enjoyed publishing to the web, the teacher enjoyed having all the writing on one site and appreciated the students comments on each others writings.

I am excited to continue working with teachers to bring this Web 2.0 tool into classes in all departments. Additionally, the introduction of Wikis, podcasting and newer online technologies present opportunities for learning in the 21st century.
